Privacy notice

Host Dada is the controller of the personal data described here. Host Dada is a company registered in England under company number 14514477. We follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Your account: name, email address, business name, a securely hashed password, and the people you invite to your team.
• Billing: your plan and payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Your websites’ data: the websites, searches, competitors and towns you add, and the results we collect for them.
• Google data you share with us: read-only Search Console and Google Analytics data for the website properties you give our Google account access to. You stay the owner, and you can remove our access at any time in Google’s own settings.
• Security logs: sign-in times, IP addresses and an audit trail of important account changes.

Why we use it

• To provide the service you signed up for (contract).
• To send service emails: confirmations, reports you’ve set up, and billing notices (contract).
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
• To keep accounting records (legal obligation).

We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to run the service, under contracts that protect your data:

• DataForSEO – fetches rankings, backlinks, site audits, Google Maps results and AI assistant answers for the websites and searches you add.
• Google – to read the Search Console and Analytics data you share with us.
• OpenAI – writes the plain-English commentary in reports, from your figures.
• Stripe – payments.
• Our email delivery and hosting providers.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. If you close it we delete your data within 90 days, apart from billing records we must keep for six years. Security logs are kept for up to a year.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. You can remove our access to your Google data at any time in Search Console and Analytics settings. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
